The follow-up to "Daydream," this features the trilobite-like arthropod Leanchoilia swimming out into a Cambrian lagoon above two Wiwaxia (weird armored slug things). Evidence of an ancient Pre-cambrian tiki statute overlooks the tropical scene. Further details here: [link]

i absolutely LOVE this series, and i hope with all my heart that you will do more similar to it. you combine such scientific and strange elements with a whimsical and crazy style that could not be beat. i really like the tropical feeling to this one: the crystal clear water, and warm blues. Awesome job man! and an obvious :+fav:

Why thank you sir! I almost took this in a different direction in the middle of coloring it, but decided to save the idea for a future part 3, so don't worry about the sequel.

Very original again, nicely done, good choice of colors. This is really, really exotic. A Cambrian bestiary would be a good idea here.

A pre-cambrian tiki? maybe built by the great old ones? Fantastic work, makes me think of that book, Incredible life...do we stand a chance of seeing anomalocaris or opabinia represented in this style?

I like your interpreation of leancholia. And I also like the way its tentacles dangle (are they that flexible, though?) In any case, a really cool picture.

I don't think they're really thatflexible, no... probably more like the antennae of a lobster, from the other reconstructions I've seen. This is meant as more impressionistic than realistic, though. So I made 'em all jellyfish-like :D
