i'm doing a drawing with Archaeopteryx. I've read on a blog page that this dinosaur have "four wings", more precisely feathers on the legs like Microraptor gui. What you think about that?
I've found this picture of Xiagiontia, an Archaeopteryx relative: [link]
Legs feathers of Archaeopteryx are like this Xiagiontia?
That is, the feathers are fairly long but they do not form a flat plane like a real wing. There are no feathers on the metatarsaus, to my knowledge, which is another feature of true leg wings.
Hope this helps!
